Posted 18 Mar 2018 | No Comments | 1,095 views

Raleigh-Durham police have been turning to Google to help them solve crimes in the area. Local television station WRAL broke the news that local police have been obtaining warrants to force Google to turn over location data for all phones near the crime scene.  After filtering through the data, the police then go back for identifying information such as user names and birth dates. Google uses profile data along with location data to provide more relevant content to their users. If you were in the area when the crime occurred, you may unwittingly may be a suspect. It may be time to start working on your alibi.
