Microsoft To Remove Scareware

Beginning on March 1st, Microsoft will remove scareware applications. Under updated evaluation criteria, Microsoft will remove programs that display coercive messages or misleading content in an effort to convince user to purchase useless premium programs. Cleaner programs must now display clear detailed messages to the user. Applications that don’t display detailed information will be classified as unwanted programs and removed.
