Ironically, the US National Vulnerability Database is down due to malware on the servers. The NVD serves as a tool that allow system administrators to identify potential problem with operating systems and software that is being run on servers. The servers have been taken offline due to suspicious activity on the servers. According to the site:

The NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD) has experienced an issue with its Web Services and is currently not available. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as soon as new information is available.
